What this site collects

ShrinkSwellCheck does not require an account and does not collect personal information to show you a county's shrink-swell data. Like almost every website, the hosting and analytics infrastructure automatically logs standard technical data - your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit, and timestamps - for security and aggregate traffic measurement. Analytics data is aggregated and is not used to identify you individually.

Cookies

Analytics cookies may be set to distinguish repeat visits from new ones. Google AdSense, active on this site, also sets cookies to personalize the ads shown to you; see the Advertising section below and Google's own cookie and privacy disclosures for how that works.

ShrinkSwellCheck earns money from display advertising served by Google AdSense.

Your rights and how to use them

California's CCPA/CPRA, the EU/UK's GDPR, and a growing list of other US states give you rights over personal data collected about you: to know what's held, to request its deletion, and to opt out of its "sale" or "sharing" for targeted advertising. ShrinkSwellCheck has no accounts and no user profiles, so there is no personal data tied to a name or email address to look up. What could exist is the technical log data described above and, while AdSense is active, the ad-personalization data Google's own cookie sets independently of this site.

To ask what's held, request deletion of anything that can be tied to you, or opt out of ad personalization on this site, email contact@shrinkswellcheck.com - that reaches the person who runs this site directly, and requests are honored on request rather than through an automated form. You can also turn off personalized ads directly at Google's Ad Center, which controls AdSense's cookie independently of this site.
